Opening up to Health and Happiness: Awareness, Safety, and Care in Covid Times

What is safety and what does it look like in Covid times? How can we self-source the safety we desire to be caring and aware of ourselves and those around us? How can we share responsibilities for the community awareness we all desire? How can we converge this energy in the in-person events in which we choose to participate?

These questions are probably on your mind as we all open up to being part of events in-presence this summer.

At the School of Ecosexual Love we feel inspired to offer a perspective that we feel is both responsible and empowering, and includes a framework for thinking about them, a list of sources, and some specific guidelines.

We understand you are considering participating in one of our in-presence events in the 2020 summer. We kindly ask that you become familiar with our perspective and ask yourself how well you can align with it. Please feel free to respond and comment. Thank you!

Reflections

For those of us in The Resilience of Love, the online journey that started back in March, we have practiced sourcing happiness and health from within ourselves in many ways. These include the expanded Inner Smile, to cultivate our inner balance and well being, the Wheel of Consent, to become aware of our boundaries and of where we position ourselves in a given interpersonal exchange, and more. We’ve also become aware of how the more simple life required by a quarantine can have its own beauty and happiness, for ourselves, and for all forms of life that accompany us on this journey on planet Earth, including animals, plants, and other ecosystems that benefit from a cleaner environment.

As options for meeting in person with others become more open, and as we choose to respect required practices of public health, we may want to elaborate together a notion of safety that we can all consent to, and that involves practices in which we each take responsibility for ourselves and for those impacted by our behavior.

Rather than accepting the master narrative that outsources “safety” to a hypothetical vaccine and asserts this as the only way to restore the “normalcy” that has been, we propose to imagine a “new normalcy” where the source of safety is in in the empowered awareness that resides within each and everyone of us.  This “new normal” can be co-created and, I dare say, can even be fun!

The “new normal” we propose here is a dynamic strategy to access the kind of self-sourced safety that comes from the eclectic perspective of #EcosexualLove. It navigates the explorable waters between the two main current thought collectives in relation to public and personal health: the allopathic collective, that interprets diseases as “enemies,” and the holistic collective, that interprets diseases as “messages” that call our attention to some need for change.

Sometimes these collectives are also envisioned as, the one made of supposedly powerful people who “conspire” to deceive common folks, and the one made of those who willingly listen to whistleblowers adept in theorizing what these conspiracies might be all about. While it’s important to be conscious observers willing to listen to a wide array of sources that can be contrasting with one another, especially when many unknowns are still in play, it is also known that excessive attention to “conspiracy theories” and to “conspiring” can produce worries and inner imbalances that are not always useful and can often be undesirable.

We propose a healthier and happier alternative: listening deeply to ourselves. We believe that, from within ourselves, we can summon the courage of sourcing the measure of “safety” we need to get together and trust one another. As a collective, we can become more aware of how we exist symbiotically in relation to each other. As we practice personal responsibility, we contribute to the sense of safety of others. This confidence and trust can generate the freedom we all need to source courage in these not quite post Covid times. It can converge health and happiness into the journey we will share at Suncave Garden.

Sourcing Safety

Where does safety reside? It’s an important question to address for anyone wishing to join an event in presence at this time when a significant pandemic has scoured the planet. Here are some of the healthy ways to position “safety” that we, at The School of Ecosexual Love, intend to propose.

      1. Safety resides in our inherent ability to activate the competence of our immune systems by taking good care of our personal ecosystem.
      2. Safety resides in our sense of personal responsibility in containing exposure and thus minimizing risk for ourselves.
      3. Safety resides in our sense of collective responsibility in being accountable for our contacts to those who share a germicule with us, and for being willing participants in any necessary contact tracing. (A “germicule” is a household or group of people who have been Covid bonded during quarantine time.)
      4. Safety resides in our awareness of existing cures, in our trust in our competence in researching them and making them known and accessible, while still refraining from interpreting the existence of these cures as excuses to overlook the need for risk containment.
      5. Safety resides in our ability to stand in a place of confidence in the curability of the Covid-19 desease, while realizing that in practice this may not happen overnight for everyone.
      6. Safety resides in our ability to be models in overcoming the fear of death that a presumed incurability disseminates.
      7. Safety resides in our ability to say “NO” to any invitation to an activity in a journey, activity in which we don’t feel fully prepared to participate at the time when the invitation is made.
      8. Safety resides in our ability to choose social distancing during an in-presence event, to the extent that we feel so inclined, and, to choose to shorten distances on as as-we-go basis with participants who also, by consent, feel so inclined.
      9. Safety resides in our choice to bring a tent to sleep or book a single room if we choose to isolate during sleep hours, and to consume our meals away from others if that’s what we desire.
      10. Safety resides in our commitment to be totally non-judgmental of our own decisions in these regards, and of those of others.
      11. Safety resides in our willingness to be inspired by the miracles that this symbiotic new normal can create.

Questions for you. How do these ways to self-sourced safety resonate with you? How many of them are you willing to practice? Do you feel inspired about them? Do you feel they align well enough with your philosophy and practices of health?

Addressing these questions well ahead of time offers everyone a chance to reflect on what we propose and evolve a deeper alignment and sense of trust in your own ability to self-source your own sense of safety and to care about that of others. Enjoy the empowerment this brings up!

Thank you!

Guidelines

The next in-person event we are co-creating is the Alchemy of Ecosexual Love, which will happen at Suncave Garden, August 28-30. The lush, fertile, nature of this garden is healthy and vibrant with fruiting plants, and water-based amenities like pool and jacuzzi. Our hosts, Leslie and Hoppy, are excited to be there for us and offer their Casa Vacanze home style hospitality. It will be a small event to have more space for everyone, with all activities in open-air spaces except for sleep time. The exceptional Italian style cooking of the house is based on locally grown products, with luscious meals and beverages offered in the décor of a blooming garden.

This seems to us an ideal place to practice self-sourced safety with awareness and care for others. The sources that empower groups safety are reflected in the following guidelines we propose for the event:

      1. Monitoring our health in the period immediately prior to the event, and being cognizant of any symptoms that might arise. For example, monitoring one’s temperature if one feels it might have gone up.
      2. Minimizing one’s exposure to risks in the two weeks prior to the event, so as to also minimize the amount of risk each person brings to the collective of participants.
      3. Being accountable about our participation in a presential event that might involve touch with those people who share a germicule with us and are not coming, so that they might respond and protect themselves to the extent that feels necessary to them.
      4. Remembering that Covid consent, namely the choice of shortening distances or not doing so, is negotiated as we go like any other consent.
      5. Being willing to take responsibility for making our own choices and for respecting those of others.
      6. Being aware that at any time during the journey together, we each can choose to shorten our distance from others and/or to practice social distancing, to the extent that it is possible and practical.
      7. Being aware that, if one requires isolation for sleep time, reserving a single room and/or bringing one’s own tent is advisable. Suncave Garden has limited space and we may not have a single room for everyone. The garden is wide and is spacious enough to consume meals at various distances from one another.

Finding a consensus on these guidelines will greatly empower your facilitation team and hosts to offer an ideal context where to open up to health and happiness in Covid times. We hope that you resonate with these guidelines and we invite you to take them into your heart. We ask that you accept them agreement upon which the whole group will come together in safety and trust.

Can you please confirm your alignment with this agreement and can you please let us know in writing? You can email your response to serena.anderlini@gmail.com. A simple message on WhatsApp will also work, please send to +39 329 4779406. Please make sure you clearly refer to the document “Opening Up to Health and Happiness.” Thank you!

The School of Ecosexual Love – A Work in Progress – Welcome!

The School of Ecosexual Love – A Work in Progress – Welcome!

The School of Ecosexual Love is a work-on-progress to which you’re invited to contribute. Are you wanting to expand and evolve your arts of love? This is a good place for you!

Welcome to our tentative description:

The School of Ecosexual Love is a school of love where life on Gaia in all its forms is the teacher, a teacher that inspires others to practice the arts of love in ways that are natural, ecological, sexy, amorous, diverse, and brave in envisioning new alignments between the health of the planet and the health of the world.

The School of Ecosexual Love offers a variety of educational journeys, including courses, retreats, workshops, and more. All journeys are opportunities for alchemic transformation and for evolution toward more symbiotic ways of being and relating. All offerings include practices that help participants maintain a positive energy field within and around themselves, thus enhancing the alignment of health and happiness in one’s personal and one’s ecosystemic realms.

Educational modalities include online, hybrid, and presential.

Existing courses in the curriculum now include:

The Resilience of Love is an online journey that has been activated at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic and is currently active, with two parallel editions and weekly appointments, Wednesdays 9-11 PM Central EU time in Italian, and Thursday 9-11 PM Central EU time in English.

The Alchemy of Ecosexual Love is a presential introductory weekend that’s held on a yearly basis at Suncave Garden, a naturist retreat center in Cerveteri, about 30 kilometers from Rome, Italy. This retreat is now scheduled for August 28-30, 2020.

The Symbiosis of Ecosexual Love is a presential advanced course, which will be launched soon, and could have a beta edition at Suncave Garden starting on August 31, 2020.

The following course could become part of this curriculum:

The Humanities and Love, Part # 2, from 1500 to the present is a hybrid course that, in its original editions, was taught part presential and part online at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez. It consists of nine one-hour lectures in English on world and planetary history, available online on the Serena Anderlini You Tube channel, and of a series of readings, visual presentations, and tests, available online in the LMS portal called Canvas by Instructure.

As a hybrid, the course was active until 2017, and it could be reactivated as an entirely online course. It could be of interest to universities and other institutions of higher learning open to teaching Western Civilization courses organized around the theme of love.

The School of Ecosexual Love operates under the aegis of the non-profit 3WayKiss. We are evolving and in particular, we are in the process of:

–Developing a full-fledged Mission and Vision for this school
–Connecting the school with other similar schools, academies, and universities
–Presenting its offerings more widely in venues open to its approaches
–Activating more courses
–Developing certificates and awards
–Recruiting and retaining interested collaborators, participants, and assistants
–Connecting w/ possible donors and funders

How does any and all of these areas inspire you? In what ways do you think you can participate and contribute? Please get in touch. We’d love to hear. Thank you!

Do you have friends who would appreciate this opportunity? Don’t hesitate to spread the news! Share this post please. Thanks!

The Alchemy of Ecosexual Love – Rome, Sept. 20-22, 2019 – A Weekend Intensive – Program

Welcome to The Alchemy of Ecosexual Love.

DESCRIPTION

The Alchemy of Ecosexual Love is an educational program in the arts of love designed for people who wish to love fearlessly and unconditionally. It combines practices, rituals and principles from Tao, Tantra, amorous inclusiveness, and sexual fluidity to empower students to reconnect with our natural gift to love.

If you do have a strong desire to love fearlessly and unconditionally, this alchemic cauldron is right for you.

When you overcome the main fears often associated with love, nothing can keep your loving nature from becoming fully expressed.

The program will take you on a path rich with rituals, principles, and practices from sex-positive education, an education that appreciates the value of amorous and sexual expression as a basis for human happiness, health, pleasure, joy, and well-being. In sex-positive education, a wide variety of ways to express one’s amorous and sexual energy are appreciated, provided these expressions take place among people who are fully consenting adults.

Sex-positive education encourages self-awareness, open communication, good listening, and complete respect for the wishes and non-wishes of others.

The practice of Ecosexual Love is based on the inner guidance that comes from the core of our “personal ecosystem,” and on our respect and devotion to the ecosystems that surround us, including natural, human, and technological ones.

For example, awareness of our fears puts us in touch with our inner vibrations. Addressing these insecurities is a way to raise our vibration above them and energetically dissipate external obstacles and critiques.

Respect for diversity is a way of being in awe of diversity itself, as expressed in nature and humankind. When we come from a place of love, we can appreciate the value of people’s choices even when they don’t correspond to ours.

For example, we can respect open relationships without practicing them, and learn to experience compersion as a way to overcome the fear of being consumed with jealousy.

The programs in The Alchemy of Ecosexual Love are designed to empower participants to evolve their talents in the arts of love and to become artists of Ecosexual Love.

This introductory training helps to create awareness of these eventual fears and identify your major energetic obstacles to love.

We welcome diversity, appreciate consent, and support all forms of amorous expression.

Join us as we transform fear into love with the Alchemy of EcosexualLove. You’ll be glad you did. Thank you! The Facilitation TEAM.

This bilingual edition is a space of encounter for many diverse people in both Italian and English (and other languages as necessary).  Our translation resources are abundant and we will make it easy for all participants.

Our special theme will be water.

How do you relate to this element inside and around you?

We offer the resources to explore this (with Bruno and Jalesh).

For those who complete the course, on Sunday afternoon, we will open a GARDEN OF DELIGHTS, which includes a wide gamut of private sessions offered by experts specializing in the arts of loving and healing, in the space of the vibrant energy generated by the proposed experience that participants have shared.

PROGRAM

The programs’ elements include the following:
1. The Tao, a practical philosophy from the Orient that allows one to harmonize the elements of one’s personal ecosystem, treating one’s organs and other parts of the person like members of an expanded family, who function well when they get along.
2. Tantra, another practical philosophy from the Orient that combines amorous expression with aspects of the sacred, sacred, allowing aural and energetic connections among people who wish to love each other with respect and reverence for their respective vital energies.
3. Amorous inclusiveness, which allows one to expand one’s ability to love in a wider horizon, beyond exclusive and monogamous norms.
4. Sexual fluidity, which allows one to perceive and appreciate amorous energies regardless of the gender of the person they emanate from.

The program’s experiential practices emphasize aspects of the practice of love as an art. In particular, they are designed support participants in alchemically transforming the energy of fear into love. The opportunity of the program’s courses is to dissipate four major fears that are common obstacles to love.

These fears include:

• the fear of lovesickness
• the fear of being rejected
• the fear of being consumed with jealousy
• the fear of pleasure

The four elements energetically transform these fears into love when alchemically combined.

Once these energetic obstacles are removed, once the energy of fear is alchemically transformed into the energy of love, there are no reasons why a person cannot generate all the love he or she desires. Participants in The Alchemy of Ecosexual Love are empowered to become sources of love in their own lives and communities.

Adi Ananda Parashakti is a Holistic Spiritual Coach. She is a co-organizer and is in charge of rituals, harmonizing languages, and holding sacred space.

She began her learning focusing on the Mind: practicing meditation and Zen Buddhism, studying engram types & Numerology to better understand herself and other people.

Later, she sought ways to wisely re-connect with her Body: In 2004, she completed her Yoga Teacher Training in Swami Sivananda Asharm in India, where she learned about Pranayama, Mantras & Asanas. She has integrated this body/energetic consciousness learning Thai Chi Chuan, Wu style.

She expanded her knowledge and experiences learning about Energies: becoming a Reiki Master, a Crystal Therapist & Theta Healing Instructor. Deep inside, behind all these disciplines Adi’s wild instinctive nature was looking for a way to be understood and expressed.

Her wild inner voice screamed out making her literally fall in love with Tantra! Tantra offered her its magic power: the connection with Mother Earth, with her body, with the Energies, with others.

Claudio Jalesh Petrassi is a Watsu operator. He is in charge of the element of water and connections with the venue.

He studied clinical psychology and specialized in counseling for children and adolescents and the Art-Counseling. He held lectures at the School of Counseling “ASPIC.” He worked as a listening consultant in schools and carried out HIV counseling at the Policlinico Umberto I in Rome.

He leads groups on parenting, fear of flying and fear of water. He designed and lead sessions of Watsu support for children diagnosed with autism and disability in general. He gives Watsu sessions and leads multiple warm water events, including baby Watsu days for children and parents, AI-CHI group days (Taichi in water), and groups of hypnosis in warm water.

He also organizes training courses in Californian massage and was trained in psycho-body techniques such as the Californian massage and Jin Shin Do.

We also gratefully acknowledge the support of Monique Darling, Peter Petersen, Leslie Newell, and Supryia Shakti Ji in getting this new program off the ground!
