New Program: The Alchemy of Ecosexual Love

Connect with your natural gift to Love

The Alchemy of EcosexualLove combines practices and principles from Tao, Tantra, amorous inclusiveness, and sexual fluidity to empower participants to reconnect with their natural gift to love.

By Dr. SerenaGaia, aka Serena Anderlini-D’Onofrio

This sequence of three workshop is for people with the desire and courage to love fearlessly and unconditionally. When you overcome your fear of getting lovesick, of being rejected, of being consumed with jealousy, and of pleasure, what will keep your loving nature from becoming fully expressed?

This introductory training helps to dissipate these four major obstacles to love. We welcome diversity, appreciate consent, emphasize confidentiality, and support all forms of amorous expression.

Join us as we transform fear into love with the Alchemy of Ecosexual Love.

This content is organized in a sequence of three main 90-minute segments or workshops.

Workshops # 1 and # 2 focus on Tao and Tantra, workshop # 3 adds fluidity and inclusiveness (compersion).

The sequence can be complemented with an introductory evening, which may include a puja and a 30-minute documentary film, and a final ceremony called Wedding of Ecosexual Love. The ceremony may be followed by a facilitated celebration party.

The transforming program helps people overcome their fear of love. It works successfully with groups and in communities. Segments of it can also be included in gatherings and festivals. It has been produced in Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Italy, and Estonia.

As a recent attendee commented:

“The Alchemy changed the way I can receive or give touch, the way I feel about sexuality and the Earth. You created a bubble where we all could connect and be true to ourselves and show ourselves. You inspired me with the power of the energy that hands can create for another person in connection with the natural elements.”
– Karolina, attendee of the workshop

What Is the Alchemy of #EcosexualLove? Che cos’è l’Alchimia dell’#AmoreEcosessuale?

What is the Alchemy of Ecosexual Love? Che cos’è l’Alchimia dell’Amore Ecosessuale? It’s the alchemy by which widely diverse people come together to celebrate each other as lovers who already always share a partner, the Earth. E l’alchimia che fa si che persone molto diverse di trovino insieme per celebrare loro stessi come amanti della compagna che già comunque accomuna tutti e tutte: la Terra.

Recognizing each other as metamours involves a new energetic awareness of those who also love this partner. Riconoscersi come metamori comporta una nuova consapevolezza energetica per chi come noi ama questa compagna.

In a Wedding of Ecosexual Love, celebrating this shared lover together is easy. In uno Sposalizio d’ Amore ecosessuale è facile celebrare insieme questa amante condivisa. And it empowers people to feel that expanded love is ecological, sustainable, and good for you. Ed impodera le persone a sentire che l’amore espanso è ecologico, sostenibile, e buono per la salute. It also helps people find more fun in, and sustenance for, diadic relationships. Aiuta anche le persone a divertirsi di più, e sostenere più facilmente le relazioni diadiche.

For me this was a wonderful way to offer the world some of my most cherished gifts. Per me è stato un modo di portare al mondo alcuni del miei regali preferiti. It’s exciting to feel part of a new tribe and connected to a whole new set of friends. E eccitante sentirsi parte di una nuova tribù con un nuovo gruppo di amici e amiche.

“Let s love the earth we make love on.” Says my friend Susan M Block. “Amiamo la terra su cui facciamo l’amore.” Dice la mia amica Susan Block. At Suncave Gardens the earth conspires to do just that! A Suncave Gardens la terra cospira per fare proprio questo!

I feel a very deep sense of gratitude for all those who could be with us this time, for those who supported us, and for those with a wish to participate (again) in the future. Sento un profondo senso di gratitudine per tutte le persone che hanno potuto unirsi a noi questa volta, per chi ci ha sostenuto, e per chi desidera partecipare (di nuovo) nel futuro.

Let’s keep in touch and make our bonds stronger. Teniamoci in contatto e rafforziamo i legami. We will be present next time the Alchemy of Ecosexual Love manifests on an ecosystem that calls the loving energy of our team. Saremo presenti la prossima volta che l’Alchimia dell’Amore Ecosessuale si manifesta in un ecosistema che chiama l’energia amorevole della nostra equipe.

A Plural Wedding of Ecosexual Love at Lolia Place, Big Island, Hawaii – Nov 5, 2017

Dear Earthlings–

Our practice of performing Plural Weddings of Ecosexual Love has expanded with the celebration of our union with Lolia Place Ecovillage, an intentional community and educational center in the district of Puna, south-east side of Big Island, Hawaii.  The Wedding was celebrated on November 5, 2017, at dusk, under the macadamia tree at the center of the community’s open grounds.  Some 20 very diverse participants gathered in the contact zone this center has established, to declare their love for the place.

A Plural Wedding of Ecosexual Love is a special kind of performative wedding that includes the contact zone or ecosystem upon which participants meet as a shared amorous partner.  The ceremony sacralizes the moment of union experienced by the ephemeral community that performs the practice, and symbolically transforms the ritual of matrimony into an open, inclusive one.

The ceremony is preceded by a series of three attunement practices that prepare most participants for the vows.  The practice called “Know and Love the Ecosystem Called Thyself” performs an attunement with one’s own personal ecosystem.  The practice called “Know and Love the Partner We All Share: Earth” performs an attunement with the all encompassing ecosystem called Gaia, and the four elements that characterize it: air, water, fire, earth.  The  practice called “Know and Love those Who Share this Partner with You: Humankind” attunes participants to fellow humans as “metamours,” or people with whom we already always share a partner.  The Wedding is a moment of union that synergizes the attunement process.

As Dr. SerenaGaia I view myself as a special minister for Plural Weddings of Ecosexual Love.  And I encourage communities with an affinity for this practice to invite me to perform it for them.   Much detailed descriptions are available at this link.  Perhaps a PWEL is at this time right for you and your communities?  I look forward to considering your invitations.  Thank you!

At Lolia Place Ecovillage, the sequence of attunements was embedded in a much wider event, the 1st Annual Gathering of EcosexualLove.  This five-day experience encompassed an expansive variety of practices in EcosexualLove.  The Gathering was produced by a team of four, including myself, Dr. SerenaGaia, poet Karen Hery of Portland, musician Saffire Bouchellion, and wrangler Walker O’Rourke, also of Portland.  During the Gathering, the Invocation and Vows I originally designed were collectively modified to adapt to the place.  Much gratitude goes to Walker for the research and rewording of various aspects.

Participants at the Gathering, and community members present at Lolia Place at the time, all convened together in a circle to be a part of this moment.  Lolia people included members of the leadership team, investors, interns and staff.  Gathering people included facilitators, participants, and organizers.  The ceremony started with the Invocation, read by Walker.  I pledged to read the Vows in a people’s mike form.  The circle was invited to repeat the lines and amplify their resonance across the grounds.  Everyone was able to bespeak their love for the shared amorous partner to a measure of their own comfort.

The revised Invocation and Vows are available.  Find the Invocation here.  Find the Vows here.  You are invited to enjoy and respect these documents as the emanation of a symbiotic earth that manifested through my imagination, as I came embody my sacred name of Dr. SerenaGaia.  Please let us know if we can support you in bringing the PWEL attunement process and ceremony to you.  Thank you!

The first Plural Wedding of Ecosexual Love (PWEL) was performed at Playa Azul, a “blue beach” on the west coast of Puerto Rico, on January 25, 2015.  It included a diverse group of participants from this Caribbean island and other world regions.  It was documented with the help of filmmaker Shaison Antony.  A series of photographs from that day is available at this link.  The Playa Azul PWEL is also the subject of the film Playa Azul I Love You: Together in Ecosexual Love.  You are invited to enjoy this 32-minute documentary free of charge.  Check the trailer at this linkPlaya Azul I Love You is a celebration of life in Western Puerto Rico, a region now devastated by the climate instabilities of our time, including super hurricane Maria.  Accordingly, the documentary explores the PWEL practice in the context of Gaia Theory, the science that interprets the evolution and stability of life on earth as a result of collaboration and symbiosis.  Please enjoy the film free of charge at this link.  Leave a comment to let us know what it inspires in you.  Thank you!

A PWEL is an experience of attunement to the practice of EcosexualLove for eco-sustainable communities.  The blue print of the original Wedding, and its reincarnation at Lolia Place Ecovillage, are intended to serve as a model for many others.  Please get in touch with us when you feel inspired to bring the experience to your communities.

We will stay tuned.

To My Friends in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria

Dear friends in Puerto Rico.  I have good news.  Since the first “estamos bien” messages that have appeared on my screen after Maria, I have been looking for effective ways to help dear friends in need. I understand how traumatic it is to get thru a hurricane.  I was there for George in 1998, which was nothing compared to Maria.  And I also know that delivering aid is not easy.  So I thought the most effective way for me to help would be by making deposits on the bank accounts of people very dear to my heart who accompanied me in my 20 years of life in Puerto Rico. Today I have confirmation that this works.  A dear friend just texted me that she was able to buy a generator with moneys donated by friends everywhere, including me.  With her fragile health, this implement is key.

So I write this post to propose this as a way to help and also to invite all my friends to let me know of your needs so that I can, for what is possible, attend them.  Please speak up and I will listen. The island of Puerto Rico and all its people have been great gifts to me, when I moved there 20 years ago.  My current retirement income comes for the most part from work done there.  It’s only fair that I should return the gift at a time of special need.

The systems I’ve used are People Pay and Pay Pal. People Pay is easy, goes from bank account to bank account.  One needs all the info of the bank account of the person on the receiving end. This information can be sent bit by bit, so as to minimize hacking risks.  Once it’s in the system repeat sends are easy.  For Pay Pal, the email account connected with the Pay Pal account of the recipient is key.  Please don’t be afraid to ask. It’s important for a giver to know that the gift really reaches its destination and is useful.  Your request is in itself a gift, of trust and truthfulness.  I will do what i can to respond. Sending a personal message is good.  Thank you!

I want to thank all the people, entities, communities who are helping in the aftermath of Maria. Recovering from a hurricane is not easy.  Even when you have freedom of commerce and can receive aid from those nearby (as in no Jones Act) and a motherland that really treats you as an equal (as in not the USA under the Trumpanzees).

There is no doubt that Maria was a super hurricane whose violence was a direct result of the global issues the Trump clan refuses to confront.  Climate change is real.

In offering this very modest pledge, it is my hope that together we may envision a very different Puerto Rico.  One where people feel very proud of their neighbors in the Caribbean; where the sunshine brings abundant renewable energy; where the extensive growing seasons bring abundance of local, in season, and fresh foods; and where people feel freer to evolve our potential for leadership in environmental justice, in the co-creation of loving societies based on collaboration and sustainability.

When I post this picture of the beautiful day we spent on Playa Azul on January 25, 2015, co-creating the first Plural Wedding of Ecosexual Love in the Caribbean (and the world), it’s not that I want to memorialize something that isn’t any more.  Rather that I want to envision many such collaborative projects where sharing resources produces the love and abundance we all wish.  Will you hold that vision with me?

The film we made that day is now complete.  Playa Azul I Love You is available at no cost at this link.
You can also find the trailer here.
And the intro we prepared for Bridges, the International Film Festival in Greece.
Enjoy!
Thank you.

NYC’S GOLDEN GIRLS OF PORN: MOSEX HOSTS A REUNION OF THE WORLD’S FIRST PORN STAR SUPPORT GROUPs
Five adult film stars from the “Golden Age of Porn”: Veronica Hart, Gloria Leonard, Candida Royalle, Annie Sprinkle and Veronica Vera were the original “Sex and the City” girls. Turning to one another for the support they needed to navigate their way through life after blue movies, these dynamic women created “Club 90” in 1983, forming a bond that would continue for nearly thirty years. They went on to pursue their personal goals, and in the process, blazed new trails in the fields of human sexuality, women’s empowerment, erotic expression, and free speech. Come get a taste of the good old days when NYC was America’s sex film capital, movies were shot on 35mm film, and Times Square was x-rated! And most of all, come share the laughs, the drama & the intimate stories of this controversial support group. This rare reunion promises to be candid, informative and electric!

ASSUMING THE ECOSEXUAL POSITION A performative visiting artist lecture, slideshow & tell with Annie Sprinkle & Beth Stephens
What happens when two city girls embrace the Earth as their lover? They get real dirty! Then they marry the Earth, Sky, Sea, Rocks, Sun, and more, in a series of performance art weddings? Stephens & Sprinkle have developed “SexEcology,” a new field of research which explores the places where sexology and ecology intersect. Learn 25 ways to make love with the Earth, how to find your e-spot, and why mysophilia, arboreal frottage and pollen-amory are so deeply satisfying. These ‘grrrrls gone green’ make experimental theater, visual art, video, and lead ecosex walking tours & workshops. Once you know more about the budding ecosex movement, you just might discover you are an ecosexual too.
Elizabeth Stephens is an artist, professor at UCSC, and filmmaker. Her new film, Goodbye Gauley Mountain—An Ecosexual Love Story, makes the environmental activist movement more sexy, fun and diverse. Annie Sprinkle was a prostitute and porn star for twenty years. She became a pivotal player in the sex positive feminist movement, an internationally known performance artist, and the first porn star to earn a Ph.D.  Sprinkle and Stephens have been living and working together for twelve fertile years. For more about Beth & Annie’s work, www.sexecology.org

Oh the sweet music of Gaia, can you hear it? Ecosensual Water Kiss

Perhaps you’ll find this waaaaaaay too romantic and syrupy, one more video of the full moon, what could be more conventional, trite, deja vu?

And yet, and yet, when we put these things in the context of ecosexuality they acquire a completely new, fresh meaning. Yours truly was honored to be at Annie Sprinkle and Beth Stephens’ ecosexual Wedding to the Moon in Altadena last month, and she came home with this impulse to honor her moon rituals with this video. Living near the Moon, as she comes close to your window and as the moon wake whispers her sweet songs to you over the ripples that kiss the beach. Oh my goddess! That’s where the inspiration comes from! How could I not see it before? Or at least, perhaps I did, but not so tangibly, not so completely. The Moon is kissing with the silver ripples that caress the shore of Playa Azul. What is she telling me? She is urging me to bring Gaia’s message of hospitality to people! Oh Moon, oh changing Luna, you are a satellite to our mother, lover, sister, hostess, the third planet, the only celestial body willing to have us in her. Annie and Beth are now married to you, and Gaia is cool with that. Listen to the ecosensual water kiss . . . .

And when you decide what to read this Solstice/Holiday Season, make the right choice for you and the planet too! Learn all about ecosexual theory from Gaia, yours truly’s favorite book, and find out how to live your life as an experiment in ecological practices of love from her memoir Eros.

You can get both for $ 53.23, with the added bonus of a Taormino book. What a treat! What a thoughtful Solstice/holiday Season gift!

Even better, visit her author’s page on Amazon.com and choose what really inspires you to live the ecosexual life of your dreams while you become an artist of love whose creativity helps humanity make peace with our sacred hostess.

Listen to this video again on winter Solstice, and on Christmas Eve, and on New Year’s Eve. The whole concept of making love to nature, making love with nature will come true to you. Feel the caressing wake of the full moon kissing the beach with its water lips. Choose ecosexuality and start to learn all about it immediately!

Your truly sends her grateful greetings to you. She sends warm wishes for a delightful Solstice/Holiday season. And remember, it’s not ALL about the water kiss!

Namaste ((-:~

ECOSEXUALS GATHER TOGETHER FOR A PURPLE WEDDING TO THE MOON & AN ECOSEX SYMPOSIUM HONEYMOON

PRESS RELEASE, October 6, 2010
Contact: Annie Sprinkle,  annie@anniesprinkle.org
Love Art Laboratory, San Francisco, Ca.

LOS ANGELES, CA.– Hundreds of “ecosexual” artists, academics, famous sex workers, and environmental activists are heading to Los Angeles for a Purple Wedding to the Moon, the brainchild of artist-brides, Annie Sprinkle and Elizabeth Stephens. This will be their sixth large-scale, ecology inspired wedding. “The environment has always been our creative partner, as in ‘ashes to ashes, dust to dust,’ says Elizabeth Stephens, an art professor at the University of California in Santa Cruz, whose personal roots lie in West Virginia where mountaintop removal mining runs rampant. “In a twist on the traditional marriage vows, each of our eco-themed weddings is an invitation for people to ‘promise to love, honor, and cherish the Earth, Sky, Sea and Moon until death brings us closer together forever’.” Annie Sprinkle, Ph.D., a porn star turned eco-sexologist emphasizes the fecundity of the earth; she links fertility and imagination. “We aim to make the environmental movement a little more sexy, fun and diverse through art.”  Purple Wedding to the Moon will be held at FarnsworthPark’s outdoor amphitheater in Altadena, Los Angeles, on October 23rd, the night of the full moon. Ecosexual theorist Serena Anderlini, PhD, will announce the HoneyMOON Symposium as a homage to our hostess Gaia, the third planet. “A world where it is safe to love is a world where it is safe to live.”
         http://www.loveartlab.org.
Four hundred guests are expected to attend and over one hundred artists will collaborate on the creation of the wedding. The unorthodox union will be officiated by the popular performance artist Reverend Billy, accompanied by the Church of Life After Shopping Choir– the subjects of the documentary film, What Would Jesus Buy? produced by Morgan Sperlock. Reverend Billy’s sermons and activism about the “Shopocolypse,” over-consumption, and corporate greed have gotten him arrested dozens of times.
Stephens, Sprinkle and Reverend Billy got upset when they learned that N.A.S.A. had bombed the moon prospecting for water. They wondered “why can’t we just take better care of the water here on Earth?”  “We wanted to do something,” cried Stephens.  “So we are marrying the Moon, but it’s really also about loving the Earth.”  Last year Sprinkle and Stephens married the Sea in Italy at the Venice Biennale.  They have also married the Earth in Croatia and the Sky in England. The wedding participants now number in the thousands. Reverend Billy is taking his new Earth-allujah! show on the road, premiering Oct. 21 at the Disney Theater. http://www.revbilly.com/events/cali-tour
For the honeymoon, the movers and shakers of this budding ecosexuality movement will hold the world’s first Ecosex Symposium at Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica, the day after the wedding. “We’ll switch the metaphor from ‘Earth as mother,’ to ‘Earth as lover,’ to garner a more reciprocal relationship with our beautiful planet. We’ll explore what ecosexuality is about from many perspectives: with panels, performances and moon pies. “All adults are welcome.” Stephens and Sprinkle say enthusiastically. Cindy Baker, an artist from Canada, will unfurl the world’s first ecosexual pride flag.
The artist-brides are looking for a few more sponsors and collaborators. On board are California Institute of the Arts, GT’s Kombucha, Center for Sex and Culture, Good Vibrations, ONE Amazon Acai, and Luna Pads. They also invite individuals to contribute as backers through the Kickstarter fundraising platform. In exchange, backers get their names in the wedding program, moon-shaped tit prints, and Beth Stephens’ sculptures of Annie Sprinkle’s bronzed panties!
             http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/152588950/purple-wedding-to-the-moon-and-ecosex-honeymoon-sy
“Unfortunately our marriage to the Moon will not be legal.” the brides lament. “Nonetheless it is a most sacred union.” They request that everyone please wear purple. The wedding is free and open to the public, “its a big, juicy, pollen-amourous labor of love.”
Some of the many performers and artists participating (in random order) are blues diva, Kandye Cane; professor and art-activist, Larry Bogad; ecosexual opera singer, Emma McNairy; flower boy/girl, Adam Harms; songstress, Kim Mears; fire hula-hooper, Sarah Starlight & Co; burlesque sensation and fire tassel queen, Lady Monster; songwriter, Xandra Coe; disgruntled heiress Naomi Pitcarin, Balkan seveda singer , Nada Miljkovic; performance artist Lian Amaris; film maker, Cheryl Dunye; Jordanian food artist, Diala Khasawnih; experimental musican, no.e sunflowrfish; tattoo performance, The Book Club; music composer, HB3; sex worker activist, Mariko Passion; Good Times magazine editor, Greg Archer; cake and puppet artist Pratbha; ritualist, Alan Tofelson; sexpert Jayme Waxman, flag artists Cindy & KC Baker, drag queen, Miss Prick, a troupe of Cal Arts students, Dylan Bolles, Hate Bear, newlywed artists, Jordan Tynes and Taylor McVay and many others.
