Description: This symposium is designed to educate participants about the role of ecosexuality in helping humans to reconnect our metabolism to the partner we all share: the Earth, and design unscripted amorous lives that appreciate the beauty and health of natural surroundings. The symposium also focuses on the skills people use in communicating their desires to others, in negotiating partnership that all participants enjoy, and in agreeing upon practices of love that are totally consensual and appreciated by all parties.

Over 20 guest speakers, presenters, facilitators are donating their time and expertise. Guests are coming from far away locations including the ancient Mediterranean island of Malta, Montreal, Canada, and Portland, Oregon, and from numerous locations in Puerto Rico, including the Area Metro and the Area Oeste.

They are activists, students, professionals, teachers, practitioners, poets, professors, artists, and much more.

Symposium Too is based on Ecosexuality: When Nature Inspires The Arts of Love, Serena Anderlini and Lindsay Hagamen eds. The first world-wide collection of writings on this topic, the book brings together the voices of 30 leaders to converge the multiple energies of the ecosexual movement.

Ecosexuality and Sex-Positivity are global and local movements. We welcome contributors from anywhere they might come. Welcome to Western Puerto Rico, a nature’s paradise in the dry season of February. We support you in enjoying a fun, healthy stay. We regret that we cannot cover travel, accommodation, or ground transportation expenses. We strongly encourage donations that will help us cover homemade meals, tasty and healthy. Te Amo Playa Azul I Love You Two – A Plural Wedding of Ecosexual Love

This plural wedding of ecosexual love will be the second of its kind in the Caribbean. Mark your calendars for Saturday, January 30, 2016. The event is designed to guide participants in experiencing the earth as the lover we all share, and to practice the love that reaches beyond limitations to embrace all of life as a partner with equal rights. The daylong ritual one the magic beach of Playa Azul, culminates in an inclusive wedding ceremony with the beach as the bride all participating “spice” share.

The event was a memorable success on its first edition, which called for a return. Check the photos and memories. Read the detailed description of its template.

What Rituals Will Help Us Bond with the Partner We All Share?

Program – Te Amo Playa Azul I Love You Two
When: January 30, 2016, 11 AM 8 PM
Where: Playa Azul, Punta Arenas, Carretera 102, Km 11.6, Joyuda, Cabo Rojo.

This is our basic program for the day:

11 am: Meet and Greet on Playa Azul, Music, Contact Dance
12 noon: Workshops
1. Know and Love the Ecosystem Called Thyself
2. Know and Love your Most Compersive Lover: Earth
3. Know and Love those Who Share this Lover with You: Humankind

Each workshop is about 75 minutes, including teaching, translation, practice, and debriefing. If we start at 12 noon, we should be done by 6 pm, with plenty of break time for connecting, meals, and socializing.

In between workshops: the famous Oxytocin Group Hugs that fill your personal ecosystem with enchantment and loving energy.

Refreshments, foods, water, amenities: on the sidelines and during breaks.

6:00 pm: Invocation of Earth Goddess, Gaia. Vows to Playa Azul: the Ecosexual Bride. Kiss the Bride. Drum Circle.

6:30: Enter the Body of Water: Bathe in the Caribbean Sea

Fun time till exhaustion of creative energy:
Includes watsu, reiki, more dance and drumming, assorted improvised co-creations, aguinaldos, burlesque . . .
–What to bring: your charming selves, a cheerful mind, a lovely smile, an open heart, swim suits, towels, comfort food, water, comfortable beach clothing for workshops time, pillows and soft stuff to find comfort on beach floor, eagerness, participation

–Once we start the workshops, the group will be formed. We will expect continuity, and admission to subsequent workshops is subject to participation in previous ones. Presence is required. The degree of participation can vary.

The first world wide collection of writings on this topic, the book brings together the voices of 30 leaders to converge the multiple energies of the ecosexual movement, its versatility of styles and diversity of genres convey a compelling variety of perspectives on this emerging social movement.

The event is part of the UPRM-based project Islas Maravillas: Ecosexuality Education and Extensive Research at UPRM, whereby PI Serena Anderlini and her teams intend to “manifest a convergence of energies to awaken the Area Oeste, the Colegio, and the entire region that surrounds the University to the experience of ecosexual love naturally inspired by the gentle and caressing nature of the Caribbean.” It intends to design public private alliances that organize local resources into eco-sustainable initiatives across the region.

If you don’t live in Portland, we will find you a clean, comfy, free place for you to stay among the community of organizers and volunteers who are organizing the Symposium. Call or email Henry Welch, our Presenter Host, with your particular accommodations needs.

Transportation:

We will pick you up from a train, plane, or bus and/or help you find a low cost parking spot for the Symposium weekend, Friday, July 29-Sunday, July 1st. If you do not wish to stay in a private home, we can help you identify local hostels, bed and breakfasts, and hotels in or near the N. Mississippi area that you can pay for yourself. Volunteers Needed

We need volunteers. Please have your friends and associates connect with Teri Ciacchi, Volunteer Coordinator, to get involved. If you have a friend who would like to see your presentation for free, recruit them to be the onsite workshop door person for your presentation. We need help; as you can see from the list of organizers below, this is a small crew of people which needs to expand exponentially for the conference to be successful. Volunteer positions will be listed on the Volunteer tab on our website. Volunteer “perks” can include full conference packets (valued at $169) if volunteers can document they have done 5-10 hours of work weekly between now and July 2. Smaller work trades are available for on-site, i.e. registration booth shifts, presenter audio visual assistance & door shifts, and making food for organizing team members during the Symposium.

Although the Symposium is still in its early planning stages, we wanted to alert you and other interested parties you may know in order to provide the lead-time needed to save these dates and arrange for travel to and from Amherst, Massachusetts.

We are very excited about this opportunity to gather in memory of Professor Margulis, and to explore the history, importance, and future of her intellectual accomplishments.

Yours truly would like to share a sense of the mutual admiration she developed for Lynn Margulis’ work and vice versa.

Here’s Margulis on the back cover of my latest:
“In her clear, intelligent voice, Serena Anderlini-D’Onofrio demonstrates that no law of love conservation exists. The more we love, the safer we are and the more love we receive. . . . Gaia and the New Politics of Love [is] . . . an antidote to the lovelessness that makes us miserable on this liveliest of planets.”

3WayKisses from Gaia – Summer & Fall Calendar in the Arts of Loving

Hi lovely Earthlings!

Gaia sends 3WayKisses and warm wishes to all of you! Happy spring, summer, and fall seasons!

In the midst of planetary transformation, we have been navigating the shift on multiple helms. The ecosexual movement is picking up steam, and we are honored to be part of it. Let’s treat Gaia like a lover, hostess, mother, we respect and revere!

Teaching students about the arts of loving as practiced in the early modern and modern period has been a joy rewarded with the good fortune to complete the academic year. Veronica Franco and Giacomo Casanova are always big hits. This year we also got in Ntozake Shange and bell hooks! Remembering BiReCon and orchestrating BiTopia, the volume that collects its proceedings, has been another reward for yours truly. Bi is “kewl”! Bi Social Network interviews. Listen here, click April 20. We wish many more bi conferences in the future and were asked to celebrate 10 years of bisexuality with an occasional piece. What recognition!

Gaia’s Shore, Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico

Defending human rights and and shoring the assault on the public sector in Puerto Rico has been a priority as our university bleeds some of its best and most qualified people. Aprum and its allies have been helpful in supporting this. With our livelihoods under assault, we’ve been keenly aware of how ugly greed looks when it’s desperate with fear. Meanwhile Gaia tends its shores with the sweet waves of the Caribbean. The oceans have not inundated beach communities, and the dry season has been unusually cool. Gaia’s patience is admirable in the context of human ingratitude. Fukushima’s radiation sears complex organisms with the Petkau effect that stores toxicity in our tissues. Perhaps Gaia is waiting for ecosexuals to soar and teach the arts of loving that can shift planetary consciousness to manifest an energy field that can heal nature from human abuse.

The summer and fall calendars have now firmed up with a series of events devoted to the arts of loving consciously and inclusively as an ecosexual path to world peace, joy, health, and well being. Fakistra beach, Greece

Next in line is yours truly’s trip to Kalikalos, Greece, the holistic community that hosted her seminars on “Gaia and Amorous Resources: What’s Holistic about Poly?” last year, with Bonobo Coaching sessions to follow up on the epiphanies that ensued. I sure don’t know what it is, but when a culture is replete with such ancient wisdom, the dualisms of modernity don’t seem to make a big difference. Things are all so integrated, so symbiotic it’s not even worth mentioning that we’re all part of the same living ecosystem. If sharing resources is what creates abundance, why not go the poly way and figure out how to share resources of love too? Kalikalos is an inclusive international community held together by host extraordinaire Jock Millenson, an admirer of Zegg and scholar of intentional communities. Kalikalos hosts great facilitators, including Brad Branton of Radical Honesty Rag. Check it out here. Five days of Ecosexuality in Italy with yours truly and Robert Silber comes up right next, July 16-21. This is the first multilingual course on this theme, with an experiential and theoretical curriculum. When Conscious Sensuality meets 3WayKiss things can become quite interesting. The ecosexual arts of conscious loving become real. Translator extraordinaire Veronika Reizner, also a holistic healer, joins the team from Austria too. Zegg is next with its Summercamp week, July 22-29. In the heart of Germany’s eastern region, this intentional community models open relationships and shared living in ways that are exemplar and unique. Summercamp is their holistic-organization week. The core groups opens up to visitors. “Eros and Community” is this year’s theme. Yours truly signs up to peak in. Her chance to learn how to organize expanded families based on sexual fluidity and amorous inclusiveness.

Toronto, Canada

Last and by all means not least is a trip to Toronto, for the fall Canadian edition of the ISTA Conference, the International School of Temple Arts. The arts of loving are sacred to Gaia: they are the source of all life, creativity, consciousness, healing. Accordingly, the Toronto team has secured the Bathurst Center, an educational space in culture, arts, and media. The team is gang-ho about ecosexual love too. Yours truly will be leading workshops and keynoting on her favorite theme. What an honor to be invited to speak! Toronto is vibrant with intellectual energy applied to the arts of loving and healing. Yours truly has mobilized all her friends, acquaintances, and co-leaders to participate in this. It will be a path-breaking experience, an epiphany for healers and artists of love to synergize the planetary consciousness that allows ecosexual love to heal nature from human abuse. Join us and be part of the paradigm shift to the world we need. Love of love is sacred and the art of teaching it is revered. More on this as things evolve. Stay tuned. ECOSEXUALS UNITE FOR AN ECOSEX SYMPOSIUM & ART EXHIBIT

What’s an ecosexual? Why are skinny-dipping, tree-hugging and mysophila so pleasurable? Where is the e-spot? Can the budding ecosexual movement help save the world? Who are the ecosexuals? These are some of the questions that will be discussed at the Ecosex Symposium II- a public forum where art meets theory meets practice meets activistism.

The organizers of these events are Annie Sprinkle, Ph.D., a feminist-porn-star and artist, turned “sexecologist,” and Elizabeth Stephens, a UCSC art professor and environmental activist. The two women explain, “As a strategy to create a more mutual and sustainable relationship with our abused and exploited planet, we are changing the metaphor from the Earth as mother, to Earth as lover.”

Artists and sybaritic cougars, Sprinkle and Stephens kick off the weekend with their “Ecosex Manifesto” an art exhibit with new collages, their ecosex wedding videos and ephemera, ecosexual photographs, and a wall text with their manifesto. Stephens and Sprinkle create art that aims to inspire more love and appreciation for the Earth and environment. The art exhibit and symposium are sponsored by Femina Potens Gallery and all events will happen at the new Center For Sex & Culture at 1349 Mission Street. The artists got a cultural equity grant from the San Francisco Arts Commission to help make it all possible.

Ecosexual theorist and author of seminal text, Gaia and the New Politics of Love, Serena Anderlini, Ph.D. is travelling from University of Puerto Rico to present the keynote, What is Ecosexual Love? A Guide to the Arts and Joys of Amorous Inclusiveness. In this production by 3WayKiss, she’ll impersonate a GILF. Good Vibration’s resident sexologist, Carol Queen, Ph.D., will be discussing ecorotic issues in the sex toy industry and The Sexology of Ecosexuality. Dr. Robert Lawrence, Ph.D. will cover ecosex fetishes. Also presenting are Madison Young, an award winning queer porn movie director and artist who will cover the Greening of the Sex Industry. Artist Tania Hammidi will do a dance piece about conflict, genocide and olive trees. There will be a special ecosexi-love-a-licious vegan raw lunch by Becka Shertzer’s Brazennectar and Mister Cream. Other presenters are artist musicians Dylan Bolles & Sasha Hom, yogi and academic Amy Champ, and the legendary porn actress Dr. Sharon Mitchell who will talk about the sensuality of gardening. Author of the book Ecosex, Stephanie Iris Weiss will be skyping in from New York for a panel. Erospirit Institute director, Joseph Kramer, Ph.D. will expound on the spiritual aspects of ecosexuality. Other speakers will present on many more aspects of this budding new sexual movement. There will also be an open forum for symposium participants to share their work and thoughts.

Although Stephens and Sprinkle use humor in their work, they are very serious about engaging ecosex as an environmental activist strategy. They aim to, “make the environmental movement a little more sexy, fun and diverse.” Additionally, they’d like to see an “E” added to GLBTQI.

This unique event brings together ecosexuals from the world over to kickstart the ecosexual movement. The event is organized by Moon brides and Eco-Sex Bi-o-neers Annie Sprinkle, PhD, and Beth Stephens, UCSC. As for yours truly, she’ll be talking about “Gaia, the third planet, amorous hostess to many lovely species, sexy mother and lover too!” The Symposium is moderated by adult film director Veronica Heart, with relationship coach Deborah Taj Anapol, PhD, and sexologist Carol Queen, PhD, among many fabulous speakers.

The artist brides will be HoneyMOONing from a Purple Wedding to Gaia’s lovely satellite, the Moon, to be celebrated on Sat, the 23rd, 6-9:30 PM, at the Farnsworth Park Amphitheater in Altadena. The Wedding will be officiated by performance artist Reverend Billy of the Church of Life After Shopping. Yours truly, duly dressed in Purple, will announce the Symposium as a homage to Gaia’s hyper-generous hospitality to our unruly species.

The Symposium is meant to be “a public forum where art meets theory meets sex education meets practice,” artist brides Annie and Beth declare. As hundreds of ecosexuals are heading toward Los Angeles for this very special weekend, yours truly invites you to join this heady lot and help spearhead the movement.
